I have had a really good day doing some editing work today. What started off as a draft of an encounter became something far more than I had ever imagined. I can't believe how exciting it can be, if I were to now go back to my none edited work it would pale in comparison to what it has become.
I am now content with my final copy of Darrienia, although I am finding it difficult now to set it aside. So now my search for an agent begins. I'll have to cross my fingers, I expect, like most aspiring authors, I will receive countless rejections, but hopefully mingled in with them will be a yes from someone who can be as excited about my story as I am. I have strangely high hopes for my work, not that I expect to 'make a name' for myself in the writing industry, but I imagine, or at least hope, there are many readers out there who would enjoy the adventure I have written.
I am now turning my focus to the second in the tetralogy, with the drastic transformation my first book took, I am expecting to put similar time and effort into the editing of this one.
I have decided to start a blog as it will be fun to keep a record of anything I wish to share, things that have interested or excited me be it in relation to my work or other things that have grabbed my interest.
